You know I'd love to sit in your church some Sunday :)

Thanks again for all you do. I'm glad you found your voice to write this. I very much enjoy your writing, and will continue to read when you choose to write. Gail

Dear CB,
I am a subscriber, and I would never stop reading! I wait for your precious tidbits and your deeply moving stories. You are doing well. I just always thought you were out doing the Lord's work with your men. Keep up the good work and when it is finished, you will, "Well done." :)

Hi Pastor,
We must remember that we have somebody (Our Lord) who will speak for us. My Lutheran co-worker always says, "Everybody has a supervisor," when I have difficulties and exclaim, "It isn't fair."
I am thankful for your blog site and the blog site of my boyfriend's nephew who is also a chaplain in Iraq and will be thankful when you all will be heading home. I think your blog sites are the great equaler and serve to remind us what is important during this holiday season. God bless. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Judy

Proud Wife of a Soldier

Happy holidays and God bless, thank you so much for sharing your word with others and keeping the faith of our soldiers strong. You have helped my husband and I stay strong with the word of God even though we are apart. I love what you write and send your blogs out to family every time. We all know what the holiday season really means and I am so excited for that day to come as I am every year.

Hey Pastor Corey!
Well, we ARE the fortunate ones to be in church with you every Sunday, but missed that Sunday. We were in church when you forgot the Benediction however!....How did that go again? "May the Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. The Lord.... The Lord....Oh, Go in Peace, serve the Lord." We had a wonderful surprise the next Sunday when you sang the Benediction. Thanks.
Sure do miss you! We spent most of the day in church today. First Sunday with communion in the new sancutary! (You're going to love it) Heard your daughter, yes 2nd daughter, sing a solo at the early service. Saw son and wife at the choir concert this afternoon. Delicious Swedish Meatballs! We Norwiegians even love them.
We want to recieve your emails again, but somehow can't. Please add us to your list again. Gods Blessings. Merry Christmas. With Love- Rick and Brenda

Why I Write...

  • On 22 November 05 I received orders to report to Ft Shelby, Mississippi. I have been ordered to join the 1st Brigade Combat Team from Minnesota. I will be the chaplain of the 1-125 Field Artillary Unit, which is being re-tasked as a convoy security unit. We will leave for Iraq in the spring of 2006. Here is the story of my journey.
